CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE

Bittersweet Field is private land owned by the Kiplinger Family and operated by the Seneca Valley Pony Club (SVPC).

In order to race on the Bittersweet Field course, the property owners and the SVPC have requested that all schools submit an updated and valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) each year.

This COI must be submitted by your school’s Business Office prior to any competition that your school is participating in.

The St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Business Office will contact your school’s Business Office directly in order to submit a COI. Coaches do not need to take any action.

Business Offices must follow all instructions below to ensure that your school’s COI is submitted properly.

INSTRUCTIONS

FILLING OUT THE COI

  • At a minimum, your COI should demonstrate that your school has at least $500,000 in General Liability coverage for the current school year. Any additional insurance coverage is your school’s prerogative.

  • All COIs should have the Certificate Holder and Address section filled out exactly as follows. Note that there are two Certificate Holders:

CERTIFICATE HOLDER: Knight and Ann Kiplinger, Kiplinger Farmland LLC

ADDRESS: 16801 River Road, Poolesville, MD 20837

CERTIFICATE HOLDER: St. Andrew’s Episcopal School

ADDRESS: 8804 Postoak Road, Potomac, MD 20854

SENDING IN THE COI

  • All COIs must be sent directly to St. Andrew’s Episcopal School’s CFO, Mark McKnight, via email (mmcknight@saes.org).

  • You will receive a confirmation of receipt, or a request for revision, with 3 business days of sending in your COI.
