GIVING BACK

VOLUNTEERING AT THE SVPC HORSE TRIALS

Our ability to compete on Bittersweet Field is entirely thanks to the generosity of the Kiplinger Family and the Seneca Valley Pony Club (SVPC), who are the primary operators of the property.

Without the help of the SVPC, we would not be able to run our meets, as they are volunteering their time and resources to:

  • Mow, maintain, and set up the courses.

  • Contract portable restrooms and trash pickup.

  • Provide critical meet resources such as radios, barriers, signage, and cones.

To show our appreciation for the opportunity to use such a beautiful site to run cross country, we can give back by volunteering at two of their largest events on the Bittersweet property: the SVPC Horse Trials.

These are MASSIVE events that require a plethora of volunteers, and it is often a challenge for the SVPC to find willing hands that are able to help with physically-demanding events such as the Horse Trials.

That’s where we come in!

Please consider signing up your team to help at one of these two events:

  • June 13 - June 14 — Horse Trial #1

  • August 30 - August 31 — Horse Trial #2

Your runners can receive volunteer hours that will count towards any totals required by your school.
